Website design and management for churches · US & UK

Your website is your church's front door. Is it open?

Most first-time guests look at your website before they ever walk in. We build you a new one in 21 days, then keep it current every week, so it never depends on one volunteer again.

The problem

The welcome on Sunday is warm. Online, nobody's at the door.

It isn't anyone's fault. Church websites are built once, by someone generous, and then left to whoever has a spare evening. Here's what a first-time guest finds.

01

Last updated: last Christmas.

The newest thing on the site is a service that already happened. Guests read old dates as a closed door.

02

One volunteer holds the keys.

When they're busy, away or tired, the website stops.

03

The times are hard to find.

Service times sit in a newsletter PDF, three clicks deep, on a page that doesn't fit a phone.

04

Nobody knows who's coming.

There's no way to plan a visit, so the welcome team meets every guest cold, if they come at all.

05

Giving takes six taps.

Generosity shouldn't need a login, a scroll and a second attempt.

Saturday, 9:40pm

Somebody is deciding whether to come tomorrow. They're looking at your website.

  1. 9:40 They search for a church near them.
  2. 9:41 They tap your website on their phone.
  3. 9:41 In five seconds they look for when, where and what to expect.
  4. 9:42 They either plan a visit, or close the tab.

How it works

Built once, properly. Looked after every week.

  1. 1

    A 20-minute call

We look at your current website together, the way a first-time guest sees it, and agree what Sunday-ready means for your church.

  2. 2

    Live in 21 days

Send us what you have. We write the rest, design the site in your colours and your words, move your sermons over and launch it.

  3. 3

    Looked after, every week

Sermons go up every week. Send us any change, by email or message, and it's live within 2 working days.

What "management" means

Send it like a text. We do the rest.

No logins to remember, no page builder to learn, no volunteer staying up late. Here's a normal week.

"A volunteer does it for free." Does it?

Move the sliders to match your church. Volunteer time is a gift. It's also finite, and it's the first thing to go when life gets busy.

    Questions

    Straight answers.

Anything else? The free review is the easiest way to ask.

We're a small church. Is this for us?

Yes, if your website matters to the people looking for you. Care is a fixed monthly fee with the build included, so there's no large upfront bill. If you only need one thing, the Website Rescue or a Plan-a-Visit page are available on their own.

A volunteer already looks after our site.

Then you know what it costs them. We can take the weekly work off their plate, or, with Launch, build a new site and train them to run it more easily.

    Who writes the words?

We do, from what you send us and a 20-minute call. You approve every page before it goes live.

Do we have to change our giving or church-management system?

No. You keep the giving, church-management and streaming tools you already use. We link or embed them in the site.

    Do we own the website?

Yes. You own the website and the domain, and you can take both with you.

What happens after the 12 months?

Care continues month to month, and you can stop with 30 days' notice. If you leave, we hand everything over.

We're in the UK. Do you handle GDPR and safeguarding?

We write a privacy notice and cookie choices for UK GDPR, add a safeguarding page with your reporting contacts, and show your charity status where it's needed. Your own policies stay yours; we put them where people can find them.

You're based in Nigeria. Does that matter?

Mike Bruce Design is based in Abuja and works with organisations in the US and the UK. Calls are booked in your time zone, and updates are handled during your working week.
